Reducing the men made carbon footprint by implementing a circular economy with none or minimized CO2 release is one of the key challenges of industry today. Using CO or CO2 provided by exhaust gas streams or by gasification processes may play a key role to enable the envisaged transition process in chemical industry. The symposium highlights key aspects of gas fermentation for the production of commodities and fine chemicals.
