The organising committee of the 7th Kurt-Schwabe-Symposium has the pleasure, to invite you to visit Mittweida, Germany, on 4 - 7 September 2016.

The symposium covers all aspects of corrosion science, electroanalysis, electrochemical sensors and electrochemical engineering. The different topics are addressed by plenary lectures, contributed lectures - held in two parallel sessions - and posters. The programme will link fundamental and applied aspects providing an inspiring forum to discuss challenges faced by electrochemistry and corrosion science. The lecture halls are equipped with up-to-date technology. Poster session, company exhibition and coffee breaks take place next to the lecture halls.

The symposium was established in 1993 by Erika Kálmán in memoriam of Kurt Schwabe, a famous German electrochemist and corrosion scientist. Former conference venues were Tata, Dresden, Zakopane, Helsinki, Erlangen and Krakow.

In 2016, the symposium will be held in Mittweida which is close to the institute founded by Kurt Schwabe. One can say, the symposium comes to the domain of its eponym. It is understood that the Kurt-Schwabe-Institute will be destination of an excursion. Mittweida is located in the middle of Saxonia surrounded by a beautiful countryside.

DECHEMA, Kurt-Schwabe-Institut and University of Applied Sciences Mittweida are looking forward to welcoming you in September!
