Fundamental Knowledge and Practical Know-How for Advanced Fluids

14 - 16 October 2016, Halle 400, Kiel/Germany

Within the context of this year’s Green Solvents Conference the 1st Green Solvents Workshop will be offered. The target of the workshop is to provide the background knowledge of different advanced fluids and green solvents especially for PhD Students, Post-Docs and early stage researchers. This offers the unique chance to get a close insight in the topic of advanced fluids given by well known experts from academia and industry. The prospective lectures cover molecular and engineering principles of non-conventional solvents, comprising aqueous phases, ionic liquids and supercritical fluids, among others. Also the context of safety and toxicity as well as the application of different solvents in industrial processes will be discussed. Especially the hands-on work with different tools for the use of advanced fluids in practical examples will be discussed intensively in problem sessions.

Confirmed Lecturers:

  • Arno Behr/Andreas Vorholt, TU Dortmund/D
  • Hans-Jürgen Federsel, AstraZeneca, Macclesfield/UK
  • Andreas Jupke, RWTH Aachen/D
  • Shu Kobayashi, The University of Tokyo/J
  • Walter Leitner, RWTH Aachen/D
  • Ken Seddon, The Queen's University of Belfast/UK
