Registration

Dear lecture and poster authors, please note: Registration fee cannot be waived for authors. Please use the online registration. If you are unable to present your lecture for any reason, please let us know as soon as possible.

Conference Language

The official language of the conference is English.

CV of speakers

A brief CV questionary enables the appropriate chair person to introduce all lecturers to the audience. Therefore lecturers are asked to download the CV form and to return it to the conference secretariat by 31 March 2020.

Technical Information and ppt format

A video projector (PPT format 16:10) and a notebook (MS Office 2016 und Adobe Acrobat Reader DC) will be provided. Elder PPT format 16:9 or 4:3 can also be projected.

Please bring your lecture as PowerPoint on a USB stick. You can also bring your own laptop computer as a backup.

In case that you need internet /special software for your presentation or if you have videos included into your file, please notify the conference secretariat in advance.

Oral Presentations

Keynote lecture is planned for a duration of 35 min plus 10 min discussion (totally 45 min).
Lecture from Call for Papers is planned for a duration of 15 min plus 5 min discussion (totally 20 min).
Poster speed lecture is planned for 3 min (presentation with 3 slides, no discussion, plus 1 min for author change). Additional to the presented poster.

Strict timekeeping will be essential for the smooth running of the conference.
We suggest to use a minimum font of 24 pt for your presentation slides.

Poster preparation, poster sessions and poster prize

As a major guideline it is proposed to make the poster intelligible in itself, even in the absence of the author. It is suggested to divide the contents of each poster into introduction, results and conclusions, with a summary listing the pertinent results and conclusions.

The posters should be put up latest on Tuesday, 12 May 2020 at 1 p.m. and taken down at the end of the conference Thursday, 14 May 2020 at 2 p.m.

The possibilities to present the posters are

  • during the Poster Session 1 on Tuesday, 12 May 2020, 5.30 to 8.00 p.m.,

  • during the Poster Session 2 (including Poster Prize voting) on Wednesday, 13 May 2020, 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. and

  • during lunch and coffee breaks.

  • Poster speed lectures (see oral presentations): posters selected by the scientific committee for a 3 min lecture, additional to the posters. 

The authors are expected to be present during the Poster Sessions.

Poster Prize: The best 3 posters will be selected and the poster prize will be awarded on Wednesday,  13 May 2020 at the Scientific Award Ceremony (Schlossberg Restaurant Dattler, 7:30 p.m.). All authors are kindly asked to be present.
