In the first part of this pre-conference course, a short introduction to PCA (Principal Component Analysis), and regression analysis by PLSR (Partial Least Squares Regression) is given and basic principles of multivariate data analysis will be provided. The second part will give an overview of Batch process modeling & monitoring strategies. Furthermore, the need for proper validation will be discussed. |
