Jochen Block Prize 2026 for Schirin Hanf and Alexis Bordet
The Jochen Block Prize 2026 of the German Catalysis Society (GeCatS) has been awarded to two outstanding scientists.
TT Prof. Dr. Schirin Hanf of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) is honored for her pioneering contributions to new, alternative concepts for the synthesis and application of catalytic systems with isolated active centers.
Dr. Alexis Bordet of the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Energy Conversion receives the award for his excellent research on multifunctional and adaptive catalytic systems.
Endowed with €3,000 and sponsored by Clariant SE, the prize recognizes exceptional achievements by early-career researchers in the field of catalysis. The award ceremony took place on 19 March 2026 during the 59. Jahrestreffens Deutscher Katalytiker (18-20 March 2026) in Weimar.
