Registration
Dear lecture and poster authors,
please note: Registration fee cannot be waived for authors but you have received an email with an voucher code, that will give you the earl bird price for the registration.
Please use the online registration and register latest at 1 March 2016.
If you are unable to present your lecture for any reason, please let us know as soon as possible!
Conference Language
The official language of the conference is English.
Simultaneous translation will be not available.
Technical Information
A video projector and a notebook (MS Office 2010, Adobe Acrobat Reader 9.3) will be provided. Please bring your presentation as PowerPoint or PDF-File on a USB stick. Nevertheless we kindly ask you to bring your own laptop computer as a backup.
In case that you need internet /special software for your presentation or if you have videos included into your file, please notify the conference secretariat in advance.
Oral Presentations
Full Oral Presenations:
- 20 minutes of presentation + 10 minutes of questions and speaker change.
- Minute 15: Chairman shows the yellow card.
- Minute 20: Chairman shows the red card.
- If the speaker does not finish his presentation, the Chairman will end it in a polite manner.
Short Oral Presentation:
- 10 minutes of presentation + 5 minutes of questions and speaker change.
- Minute 8: Chairman shows the yellow card.
- Minute 10: Chairman shows the red card.
- If the speaker does not finish, the Chairman will end the presentation in a polite manner.
Strict timekeeping will be essential for the smooth running of the conference.
We suggest to use a minimum font of 24 pt for your presentation slides.

Please note: The programme is set. There can't be made any changes.
We also like to ask you for a Curriculum Vitae (Short Vita) of the presenting author, so the session chairs can introduce him/her to the audience. Please download our CV template here as PDF (no other versions will be accepted) and send it back to the address shown on the CV template, latest by 31 May 2016.
Preparation of Poster
As a major guideline it is proposed to make the poster intelligible in itself, even in the absence of the author. It is suggested to divide the contents of each poster into introduction, results and conclusions, with a summary listing the pertinent results and conclusions.
The poster should be legible from a distance of 2-3 meters. Standard size for posters is 0.85 x 1.2 m (DIN A0-German Standard) vertically oriented. Therefore, please find the following specifications:
- the minimum size should be 20 cm for graphs;
- 3 cm for the paper’s title and the names/adresses of the authors in the heading lable;
- 1,5 cm for sections headings such as introduction, results, labelling of figures and tables;
- 0,8 cm characters in height for further text
- Line spacing: 1,1 cm at minimum; 10 of such lines correspond to one figure.
- Please use colours, symbols and schemes for improved clarity.
The posters will be shown during the whole conference.

Short Poster Presentation
There will be short "Poster Presentations" in the Plenary Room for all posters (except Poster Communications). Please prepare a max of 3 sheets (PowerPoint or PDF) for your presentation and time it to a max. of 3 minutes.
The presentation has to be submitted at the "Media-Check-In" latest in the lunchbreak of your presentation day (P1 - P12 on Monday, P13 - P34 on Tuesday). Further details will be send to all poster authors before the conference by email.
