Welcome to the Anual Meeting 2021.
We are very sorry not to meet you in Würzburg as originally planned, but very much look forward to welcoming you to an interactive virtual event.
As soon as registered you may get to the virtual platform here:
Short Guideline for the Virtual Venue
The access is only possible for registered participants.
In case of a short-time registration your log-in will be possible a view minutes later.
Programme as pdf-file for download (as of 4 May 2021, subject to change.)
Renowned plenary speakers from university and industry will address current topics from modelling and simulation to surface reaction technology, metallurgical processes and polymer reaction engineering.
Conference participants from academia and industry gather together to exchange information about job opportunities, professional background, business goals, and possible career entries. We will apply the Round Robin model, where participants meet each other sequentially in random pairings in a set time period of three minutes. After that, you change position to the next space.
As a early career professional or PhD student, you will have the chance to meet individually employees from industry. Confirmed participants from industry are BASF, CLARIANT, Covestro, and Evonik.
Invitation for the get-together:
Meet up with your colleagues and friends:
join our social evening on Tuesday, 11 May, 18:00
First part of the evening we will meet up all in one room for a quiz: „Reaction Engineering in Daily Life“. Later we will have smaller groups in break-out rooms to learn about regional and cultural traditions for drinks and drinking habits.
We invite you to take the chance to introduce a typical drink from your region with it’s characteristics, e.g. to which food, time or occasion you will enjoy this drink. Feel free to prepare pictures or a short presentation.
Recommended for full activity is uploading the zoom app: https://zoom.us/download; however, the access for the evening get-together is provided directly on the homepage of the virtual venue – you also can join the meeting by using the access via your browser.

Dear lecture and poster authors, please note: Registration fee can not be waived for authors.
If you are unable to present your lecture/poster for any reason, please let us know as soon as possible via Email.
The official language of the conference is English. Simultaneous translation will be not available.
A brief CV questionary enables the appropriate chair person to introduce all lecturers to the audience. Therefore lecturers are asked to download the CV form and to return it to the conference office by 15 April 2021 at the latest.
Please prepare your slides in 16:9 format.
Please note that talks should not exceed 15 min presentation time. After each session we have scheduled a Q&A session, where participants have the opportunity to discuss with the speakers. Please schedule this accordingly.
We recommend using Google Chrome as your browser.
As a meeting platform we will use Converia Virtual Venue and as presenting platform for your talk we will use Zoom. We recommend to download the Zoom app to give your presentation. We plan rehearsals in the week before the conference.
We recommend using 2 monitors if possible - one for playback of the presentation and one for Converia Virtual Venue and Zoom.
As a major guideline it is proposed to make the poster intelligible in itself, even in the absence of the author. It is suggested to divide the contents of each poster into introduction, results and conclusions, with a summary listing the pertinent results and conclusions.
Standard size for posters is 0.85 x 1.2 m (DIN A0-German Standard) - we recommend in this event: landscape format (Querformat!). The posters will be shown throughout the whole conference.
To upload your poster by 21 April 2021, please log in at
https://dechema.converia.de/frontend/index.php?sub=489
- click on "View submitted papers/sessions" in the "Paper Submission" area
- under the button "Actions" which is connected with your paper you have the possibility to upload your poster in PDF format under "Upload or edit presentation".
(Please note that there should be no coding or password protection within the pdf-file, otherwhise the preview of your ePoster may have an error.)
For the most effective and intensive discussion we recommend to initiate your individual virtual meeting room for the duration of the poster discussion.
This will be possible directly on the virtual platform of the conference. We will send you the access fort he virtual platform a fews days before the conference.
Please enter your individual access link under your ePoster directly within the ‘Question & Answers‘ Area before the discussion starts. You can choose any virtual room you prefer.
REACNOSTICS is modeling, constructing and building chemical research reactors for the spatially resolved investigation of catalytic processes. Our methodology comprises simulations and operando measurements of concentration & temperature profiles in combination with spectroscopic catalyst characterization. By applying patented methods we provide insight in catalytic reactors during time on stream required for knowledge based optimization. Visit us at www.reacnostics.com |

Magritek is the global leader in manufacturing cryogen-free benchtop Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) spectrometers for the analytical instrument market. Magritek’s revolutionary 80 MHz, 60 MHz and 43 MHz Spinsolve family of benchtop NMR models offer the highest sensitivity and resolution available in the market. These portable systems are robust and easy to use, allowing modern NMR methods to be performed on the chemistry lab bench or inside the fume hood next to a reactor. Spinsolve NMR spectrometers are used daily by scientists in research labs to quantify and identify sample compositions, confirm reaction completions and elucidate unknown molecular structures. |
The virtual exhibition, integrated in the online conference, offers perfect opportunities to promote your technologies, products and services in the field of Reaction Engineering.
In the past years, the conference had about 220-240 participants from academia and industry. In 2021 we expect at least the same number of participants. So, there is a great opportunity to strengthen your network as you build up existing and generate new relationships.
If you need further information, please contact the conference office.
