Please prepare an abstract (incl. figures, max. size 1 MB, max. 1 page). The abstract should explicitly mention objectives, new results and conclusions or significance of the work.

1. Please use the Template to correctly format your contribution and upload it as PDF file.
2. Enter the author list (author and co-author/s) and affiliations in the same order as in your abstract.
3. DECHEMA will not make any adjustments regarding the author information. The information will be published as given, so please double-check.

The selection of the contributions will be based on the review of the abstracts by the scientific committee.

Accepted abstracts will be published for all conference participants in a book of abstracts (PDF file).

Registration is possible up to the beginning of the conference (subject to capacity in the lecture rooms). You will receive an email with a booking confirmation as well as hyperlinks to download your invoice and payment confirmation as PDF files.

Payment

Payment of participation fees is by credit card (Master-Card, Visa, Amex or Diners) or direct debit.

Cancellation and Refunds

Cancellations will only be accepted in written form (i.e. by post or e-mail).

In case of no-show or cancellation of participation, the full participation fee must be paid. Details on cancellation deadlines and fees can be found in the conference terms and conditions.

Max Buchner Research Foundation Travel Grants

The Max Buchner Research Foundation awards travel grants to young scientists for the presentation of scientific and technical research work at scientific forums, congresses, symposia, conferences and other specialist events in the fields of chemical engineering, process engineering, biotechnology and related research areas.

Researchers at universities and non-university research institutions who present a lecture or poster can apply for a travel grant.

Applications are reviewed quarterly. The final extended deadline for the Annual Meeting of Process Engineering and Materials Technology 2026 applications will be the 15 September 2026.

Author Registration

Please note: Registration fee cannot be waived for authors. Please use the online registration, if not yet done.  If you are unable to present your lecture or poster for any reason, please let us know as soon as possible.

The final deadline for the registration of authors is 15 September 2026.

Conference Laguage

The official conference language is English. Please prepare the lectures and posters in English language. Simultaneous translation will not be available.

Technical Information

- Presentation laptop and wireless presenter available 
- Presentation Format: 16:9
- Recommendation: minimum font size of 24 pt 

Please bring your presentation slides as a PowerPoint or PDF file on a USB stick. If this is not possible,  please let us know in due time so we can arrange an alternative way to transfer your presentation.

Nevertheless, we kindly ask you to bring your own laptop computer as a backup. In case that you need internet or a special software for your presentation, please notify us in advance.

Strict timekeeping will be essential for the smooth running of the conference. Please plan approx. 3-5 minutes of discussion for your presentation within the given presentation time.

Information for Poster Authors

Size: DIN A 0 vertically oriented as printed poster (0,85 m width / 1,2 m height) 
Please note: we have no possibility to print your poster onsite.

A poster board will be provided for each poster.  The posters will be shown throughout the whole conference. Please set up your poster at the beginning of the Annual Meeting on 16 November 2026 and remove it at the end of the conference.

Fixing material: pins will be available onsite.

Preparation of a Poster

As a major guideline it is proposed to make the poster intelligible in itself, even in the absence of the author. It is suggested to divide the content of each poster into introduction, results and conclusion, with a summary listing the pertinent results and conclusion.

To ensure that the text is still legible from a distance of 2-3 m, the main text should be written in font size 25-30 pt, marginal information can be slightly smaller with font size 20-25 pt. The title of a poster must be readable from a distance of approx. 5 m (100-200 pt). Subtitles and headings in the text can be written in 50 pt font.

Please present your poster in 1 minute, 1-2 slides, 16:9.

Poster numbers and time slots will be assigned and communicated in due time before the conference. To ensure that everything runs smoothly,  your slides will be uploaded to the presentation laptop in advance. 

Please upload your slides as a PDF file to SharePoint 2026_PEMT_Poster Presentation by 09 November 2026 at the latest.

The 3 best posters will be selected by the participants in a vote. The prizes (each 100 €) and the certificates will be awarded in the closing session on Tuesday, 17 November 2026, 15:30.
