The ‘Biotechnological Production Systems’ section of DECHEMA invites young Master’s graduates and doctoral students (PhD be- ginners, advanced students and young talents started in biotechnology companies) to a continuing education event in Frankfurt. The aim is to support young biotechnologists in successfully completing their doctorates with lectures by experienced scientists, while at the same time promoting networking by presenting their own research topics to a group of like-minded people.
The topics of the lectures:
‘Getting things done’ (organising the daily routine of a doctoral student)
CRISPR-Cas systems for research and application Microbial protein secretion in biotechnology
How do I write a good publication?
Career planning for a young biotechnologist
Submission of a poster abstract is mandatory upon registration! The poster should include the research topic, objectives and background. Results are not necessary, but may be presented voluntarily. The main aim of the poster is to get participants into contact with persons working in similar fields. The workshop will start on 18 February 2026 at 1 p.m. (check-in open at 11 a.m.) and include an interactive networking evening where (novel) food will be served. The programme will continue on 19 February at 9 a.m. and close at 12 a.m. prior to the Innovationstage Biotechnologie which is open to all participants of the Young Talents Day (afternoon lectures).
