7th International Conference for Conveying and Handling of Particulate Solids - CHoPS 2012

Invitation

CHoPS -7th International Conference for Conveying and Handling of Particulate Solids

10 - 13 September 2012

Dear Colleagues,

since its beginnings in 1995 CHoPS, the International Conference for Conveying and Handling of Particulate Solids, has become a leading scientific conference for handling and processing of bulk solids. The fine tradition which started in Israel under the leadership of Haim Kalman was carried on in Europe at Budapest and Sorrento and we trust that CHoPS 2009 will be a wonderful conference as well, not withstanding the difficult times we find ourselves in. It is therefore a great pleasure for the ProcessNet "Fachausschuss Agglomerations- und Schüttguttechnik" (ProcessNet Working Party "Agglomeration and Bulk Solids Technology") to invite you to Germany for the next CHoPS Conference in 2012. We have selected the city of Friedrichshafen in the beautiful region of Lake Constance (Bodensee) as the conference venue. It is a region which is rich in cultural and technical heritage and the home of many companies active in conveying and handling of particulate solids.

To ensure that CHoPS 2012 truly becomes an international event ProcessNet has approached the two EFCE Working Parties on Agglomeration and on Mechanics of Particulate Solids to participate in the organisation of the conference.

We are very glad that DECHEMA, the German Society for Chemical Technology and Biotechnology, has agreed to take over the responsibility for the organisation for the proposed CHoPS 2012 in Friedrichshafen. Their track record gives us the certainty that CHoPS 2012 in Friedrichshafen will not only be a great scientific event but also a most pleasant and memorable experience for everybody: authors, exhibitors, participants and guests, alike.

We therefore ask the International Scientific Committee of the International Conference for Conveying and Handling of Particulate Solids to accept our invitation to Friedrichshafen and look forward to welcoming you in Germany.
