The GCSB 2021 programme of 13-17 September features cutting-edge research from the different fields of synthetic biology:
The line-up of international keynote speakers counts more than 20 renowned colleagues covering all important fields of research. Moreover, the programme comprises sessions on industrial research and on science and art.
Thanks to the generous support by the Joachim-Herz-Stiftung and GBM conference fees can be waived for up to 200 bachelor/master/PhD students.
Please note: The German Conference on Synthetic Biology 2021 (GCSB 2021) will be a double event from 1-3 September (organised by GASB) and from 13-17 September 2021, the latter being organised by the joint study group on synthetic biology of GBM, GDCh, DBG and DECHEMA.

Registration is possible up to the beginning of the conference. Confirmation of registration will be sent immediately by email. The invoice, with payment confirmation, you will receive by mail. The registration fees include conference ticket and book of abstracts for download.
Cancellations are only accepted in writing (i.e. by fax, surface mail or e-mail).
Please find details about cancellation dates and fees in the general terms and conditions. In case of no-show the conference fees won't be refunded and fees not yet paid still have to be paid.
Dear lecture and poster authors, please note: Registration fee cannot be waived for authors. However, generous support by the Joachim-Herz-Stiftung enabling free registration of 175 students is gratefully acknowledged, based on "first come, first served" principle.

The official language of the conference is English.
As an online networking platform we use Converia's Virtual Venue (CVV). Here you can visit lectures, posters and meet participants.
The ZOOM Meeting will be used for the live-streaming of the lectures. We recommend all speakers to download the ZOOM APP to share your presentation
(https://zoom.us/download). In case you have already installed it, make sure that you have the latest version.
It is recommended to use Google Chrome or Firefox as your browser.
Please prepare your slides in 16:9 format.
*Keynote lecture is planned for a 35 min talk.
*Lecture from Call for Papers is planned for a 20 min talk.

*Poster Flash Talk (selected posters): 3 min flash talk with 3 slides, no discussion.
Strict timekeeping will be essential for the smooth running of the conference.
In case that you use special software for your presentation or if you have videos included into your file, please notify the conference secretariat in advance.
The E-Posters will be displayed throughout the whole online conference.
Poster session: Wednesday, 15 September, 2:50 - 4:20 p.m. (CEST)
The poster authors are requested to be present on wonder during the poster session for Q&A.

The UPLOAD OF YOUR E-POSTER is possible from 25 August to 3 September.
