Smart Sensors - mechanistic and data driven modelling

1. - 2. Oktober 2018 DECHEMA-Haus, Frankfurt/Main

The conference is organized by DECHEMA in cooperation with the DECHEMA working group Biotechnology Measurement and Control/ Fachgruppe Messen und Regeln in der Biotechnologie and ESBES Section on Modelling, Monitoring, Measurement & Control (M3C).

The availability of high-performance sensor systems is a prerequisite for the success of biotechnology in the era of industry 4.0.

The conference "Smart Sensors - mechanistic and data driven modelling" deals with current and future developments within this area, provides insights into specific applications and highlights challenges and opportunities. The conference will be held in Frankfurt on 1st and 2nd of October 2018.

Be there and present your projects and results to a broad international audience from both industry and science!  Submit your proposal online by 16th of May 2018 on the following topics:

1. Sensors and sensor concepts for closed-loop control
2. Sensor networks
3. Intelligent sensors
4. Life cycle management of sensors
5. Self-monitoring sensors
6. Virtual sensors
7. Digitalisation concepts for sensors

In addition to their particular measuring tasks, today’s sensors must be able to make independent process decisions as well as to control and optimize processes in real time. For this purpose, it is important that the sensors are capable of complex signal processing, self-diagnosis, and independent validity testing, are able to evaluate, summarize and pass on information about themselves and the environment as well as making decisions on this basis. At the “Smart Sensors” conference, experts from academia and industry, suppliers and users will discuss how smart sensors can promote “biotechnology 4.0”.

We are looking forward to welcoming you in Frankfurt!
