About Fortress Marienberg
From the mighty Fortress Marienberg (German: Festung Marienberg) visitors have a fantastic view on the city of Würzburg, River Main, vineyards and the beautiful Bavarian landscape.
The fortress is located on the hill Marienberg since centuries. In 1253, the castle became the residence of the prince-bishops of Würzburg.
Today, it houses two museums and a congress center. The congress center is located in the inner courtyard of the impressive building and provides modern conference facilities in historic surrounding.

How to reach the venue
Bus shuttle: a bus shuttle (three busses) will be provided from the city center of Würzburg to Fortress Marienberg. The schedule of the bus shuttle is available for download.
By taxi: it is a 10 min. drive, costs about 8 EUR.
By feet: it is a 20 minutes walk from the Old Main Bridge, follow the signposted route.

How to reach Würzburg
The railway station of Würzburg is located in the city center, hotels are in walking distance.
It takes 1,5 hour from Frankfurt Airport by ICE train. Please check out the train schedule at www.bahn.com.
