The goal of the project was to develop a framework for the digitization of industrial water management in connection with Water Stewardship approaches. In the context of an integrated management approach, this included industrial water management itself, close integration with the digitization of industrial production, and the integration with digitization approaches in municipal water management. The project was initiated based on the DECHEMA position paper "Industrie Wasser 4.0" which was published at ACHEMA 2018. Within the project, DECHEMA was responsible for reviewing the then-current state of the "IndustrieWasser4.0" topic and its interfaces with Industrie4.0, as well as for developing a maturity model to assess the digital development status in industrial water management. All milestones have been successfully reached, and the project has been completed.
