DECHEMA is home to a vast variety of activities in the pharmaceuticals field. They range from the identification of novel active ingredients, to predictive cell culture models, to research, development and production of innovative biopharmaceuticals and advanced therapy medicinal products through to nanobiomedicine.
Experts from academia and industry are actively involved in DECHEMA’s diverse topic-based working groups on, for example, natural products research, medical biotechnology, cell culture technology and single-use technology in biopharmaceutical manufacturing. In these networks, experts discuss new trends, identify research needs and plan various activities.
Located at the interface of nanotechnology, biotechnology and engineering sciences is the German Platform on NanoBioMedicine which provides an interdisciplinary forum for stakeholders from all application areas of nanobiomedicine in diagnostics and therapy.
Furthermore, many renowned corporate members of DECHEMA and of the Association of German Biotechnology Companies (VBU) hail from the pharmaceutical sector.
