The “Jahrestreffen Deutscher Katalytiker” is going into the next round - join us in Weimar from 13-15 March 2024!
This conference has established itself as one of the most important European catalysis events, covering all aspects from research on the fundamentals of catalysis, the understanding of catalytic processes, catalyst design to reaction engineering and industrial applications. More than 400 experts from universities, research institutes and industry meet annually to present their research, exchange their ideas and share new developments and the latest results in all areas of catalysis.
As in former years, the conference has a double focus: To highlight state-of-the art research and development from theory to application, and to provide an opportunity for young scientists to present their scientific results, discuss their research with academic peers and build and expand a professional network. For the 2024 edition, renowned plenary speakers from academia and industry have been invited, setting additional highlights in the scientific programme of the conference. Similar to previous meetings an industrial exhibition and several poster workshops will accompany the scientific programme.
The Katalytikertreffen started as a small meeting of individual researchers in East Germany, who discussed catalytic results and commenced initial collaborations with industry. Today it has become one of the hotspots for the European catalysis community, stimulated by the special atmosphere in the beautiful and historically important town of Weimar.
So do not hesitate and join us to discuss recent academic and industrial innovations of catalysis research. Save the date and prepare your contribution! We look forward to meeting you in March 2024 in Weimar.

You are cordially invited to contribute to the scientific programme with a lecture or poster.
We look forward to your contributions from research institutions, universities, and industry. New work that is not yet completed, recently started or in the planning stage can also be presented.
Deadline for a paper submission is 15 November 2023.
You can submit papers for the following topics:
Please prepare an abstract with 1-2 pages (incl. figures, max. size 1 MB, max. 2 pages). The abstract should explicitly mention objectives, new results and conclusions or significance of the work.
The selection of the contributions will be based on the review of the abstracts by the scientific committee.
Accepted abstracts will be published for all conference participants in a book of abstracts (PDF file).
The congress language is English.
Please note: Registration fee cannot be waived for authors.
Various prizes will be awarded at the Jahrestreffen Deutscher Katalytiker:
The Otto Roelen Medal is awarded to international candidates who have made outstanding achievements and significant contributions in catalysis research, especially with regard to application-oriented research.
The Prize is endowed with 5.000 Euro and sponsored by OQ Chemicals GmbH.
Nominate your candidates for Otto Roelen Medal before 22 September 2023 here.
The German Catalysis Society and DECHEMA award the prize to promote young scientists in the field of catalysis. The prize is presented for research work and development by young scientists in the field of catalysis who have not yet been appointed to a full chair and who have made a special contribution to the field of catalysis through fundamental and original research. The awardee should not be older than 40 years.
The Jochen Block-Prize is endowed with 3.000 Euro and sponsored by Clariant.
Nominate your candidates for the Jochen Block-Prize before 22 September 2023 here.
Part of the conference is a poster exhibition where the five best posters will be awarded with a poster prize (100 Euro).
