The production of sustainable energy carriers and chemicals is predicted to play an increasingly important role in the future – and catalysis and process engineering both play a core role as enabling elements. An increased share of sustainable carbon-neutral technologies is required to enable a decrease of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and to limit the global average temperature rise. This GeCatS Infoday targets to achieve a 360 degrees view and will reflect recent achievements, the status of implementation and future perspectives.
To set the stage, a perspective on societal needs and legal boundary conditions will be given, followed by contributions regarding frameworks for an assessments and benchmarking of sustainability criteria to rate technologies and projects regarding their impact. Contributions discussing availability and pricing scenarios for renewable energy and hydrogen in relation to industry demands complete this picture. Moreover, a line-up of start-up companies will present their technologies contributing to more sustainable fuels and chemicals and share their insights on market development.
We invite participants to contribute to the poster session and present their recent academic research activities, technological breakthroughs, and industrial needs.
Join the working lunch and use the opportunity for networking, discussions with stakeholders, and to elaborate collaboration possibilities.
Registration opens at 09:30

Preparation of a Poster
As a major guideline it is proposed to make the poster intelligible in itself, even in the absence of the author. It is suggested to divide the content of each poster into introduction, results and conclusion, with a summary listing the pertinent results and conclusion.
Standard size for posters is 0.85 x 1.2 m (DIN A0 German Standard) vertically oriented.
To ensure that the text is still legible from a distance of 2-3 m, the main text should be written in font size 25-30 pt, marginal information can be slightly smaller with font size 20-25 pt. The title of a poster must be readable from a distance of approx. 5 m (100-200 pt). Subtitles and headings in the text can be written in 50 pt font.
