The Annual Meeting on Reaction Engineering is a well established conference with yearly 220-240 participants. It offers scientists from industry, research institutions and universities the opportunity to discuss their work, learn about latest developments and expand their network.
One focus of the upcoming meeting will be on research for the future circular economy. Establishing sustainable conversion processes for the chemical, food and pharma industry is one of the pressing needs of our time. Reaction engineering can contribute to preventing the exhaustion of critical resources and avoiding unnecessary waste generation. However, truly sustainable processes can only be achieved by closing the loop in production cycles and utilizing waste streams to create new products. Solving these challenges requires the implementation of innovative and efficient technologies by utilizing the reaction engineering toolbox.
The conference particularly aims to motivate young academics and young professionals from industry to contribute to this event. The programme will favour their engagement and give space for new and innovative topics.
Please note: Committee and organisers decided to hold the upcoming Annual Meeting as online event.
We hope this will be a decision in the name of all active and passive participants.

Paper submission is now open - new deadline for lectures is 15th January 2021. Poster contributions can be submitted until April 2021.
We would like to invite national and international research groups to contribute to the scientific programme, therefore all presentations will be held in English. Even though contributions to the focus theme and input from young scientists are particularly solicited, other contributions to the broad field of reaction engineering are also highly welcome.
Paper submission for oral presentations is now possible until 15th January 2021 at the latest. After that deadline you can still submit abstracts for poster presentations until 26 March 2021.
Please submit proposed contributions in form of a one or two page abstract (max. 1 MB) through the button below. The congress language is English.
The selection of the contributions will be based on the review of the abstracts by the scientific committee.
Please note: Registration fee cannot be waived for authors.
Renowned plenary speakers from university and industry will address current topics from modelling and simulation to surface reaction technology, metallurgical processes and polymer reaction engineering.

The virtual exhibition, integrated in the online conference, offers perfect opportunities to promote your technologies, products and services in the field of Reaction Engineering.
In the past years, the conference had about 220-240 participants from academia and industry. In 2021 we expect at least the same number of participants. So, there is a great opportunity to strengthen your network as you build up existing and generate new relationships.
