AquaticPollutantsTransNet is part of the ERA-Net Cofund AquaticPollutants, set up by three Joint Programming Initiatives (JPIs) – Water JPI, JPI Oceans, JPI AMR (antimicrobial resistance). Another component of this ERA-Net Cofund is the Joint Transnational Call, consisting of 18 research and innovation projects focusing on three themes of measuring, evaluating, and taking actions related to risks by pollutants and pathogens present in water resources. The aim of AquaticPollutantsTransNet is to support the knowledge transfer and exchange from these 18 research projects to relevant stakeholders at the national, European and international levels. To accomplish this, AquaticPollutantsTransNet will work to: • identify key stakeholders and their knowledge gaps, • develop innovative approaches for enhanced knowledge transfer and exchange, • create synergies among the AquaticPollutants projects and strengthen stakeholder collaboration, • foster the knowledge transfer from the research projects to stakeholders, • implement multiple dissemination and exploitation routes, including thematic (non-scientific) groups, political fora, scientific networks and citizens. AquaticPollutantsTransNet, which began in June 2021, consists of partners from France (BRGM – French Geological Survey; ACTeon Environment), Germany (DECHEMA – Society for Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology; ISOE – Institute for Socio-Ecological Research (subcontractor)) and Sweden (IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute). DECHEMA serves as the coordinator of this 4-year long transfer project.
