Information for Poster Authors

Registration

Please note: Registration fee cannot be waived for authors. Please use the online registration and make sure to register before 14.11.2026 as the general registration will afterwards be opened. Every confirmed poster is allowed to have maximum two conference registrations (PI + poster author).  

Preparation of a Poster

A poster board will be available for each poster, with the dedicated poster number attached. The posters will be shown throughout the whole conference as well as we have reserved a special spot in the programm for a poster viewing after the poster sessions on Wednesday, 25.2.2026.

Poster viewing Poster P01-P26: 16.45-17.15h
Poster viewing Poster P27-P52: 18.30-19.00h

Starting from 19.00h there will be a dinner with food and beverages at the posters. Please hang up your poster at the beginning of the Symposium and make sure that your poster meets the following criteria:

  • Standard size for posters is 0.85 x 1.2 m (DIN A0 German Standard) vertically oriented.
  • Include the title and author details (with address) at the top of the poster. For new natural products, ensure the poster details origin, isolation, structure, and biological activity. Highlight methodological aspects.
  • Avoid long texts and use appropriately sized fonts.
  • The main content should be unpublished (except for patents).

Three poster prizes will be awarded during the Irsee Natural Product Symposium. Participants will have the opportunity to vote for the most interesting result.

Guidelines for Poster Presentations

All posters will be presented during the Poster Session on Wednesday afternoon. 

Please send your poster presentation as pdf before 15.2.2026 to 

Please make sure to name your file as following: Pxx_surname (e.g., P01_Smith)

  • You have a maximum of 3 minutes/ 3 Slides for your presentation.
  • The first slide should display the title of your poster, contributing scientists, and your poster number.
  • Ensure sufficient font size (minimum 24 pt) and line width (minimum 1 pt). Limit the number of formulas; otherwise, attendees at the back may not be able to read the slides.
  • Do not include animations in your presentation.


Information for invited Speakers

General Information

As a confirmed speaker, you will receive complimentary access to the conference. For organizational purposes, we kindly ask you to register by October 10 at the latest. Please note: Travel and accommodation expenses are not covered. Hotel reservations will not be handled by DECHEMA.

As in previous years, we will not be collecting CVs for the symposium. If you would like the session chair to mention anything specific during your introduction, please contact your session chair directly. Likewise, if the session chair has any questions, they will reach out to you. 

Lecture times

Each lecture is planned for a duration of 20 minutes plus 5 minutes for discussion. (Exception: evening lecture = 1hr including discussion time). Strict timekeeping will be essential for the smooth running of the conference. We suggest to use a minimum font size of 24 pt for your presentation slides.

Technical Information

The ideal format for the presentation is 16:9. A notebook and a wireless presenter will be provided. Please bring your presentation slides as PowerPoint or PDF-File on a USB stick and make sure to upload it on the presentation laptop no later than at the start of the break preceding your talk. If preferred, you may of course also use your own laptop. 

In case that you need internet /special software for your presentation or if you have videos included into your file, please notify us in advance.
