Membrane technology is currently gaining enormous importance as an energy-efficient separation process. This particularly applies to the separation of micropollutants in water, the replacement of thermal processes in chemical process engineering, and gas separation in energy technology and climate protection.
Join us at the Kassel Membrane Days (former Jahrestreffen Membrantechnik) - organised by the DECHEMA/VDI Working Group Membrane Technology and the German Society for Membrane Technology (DGMT).
In keeping with the tradition of DECHEMA working group conferences, we aim to present and discuss new findings from membrane research. Our goal is to facilitate and stimulate exchange between early career researchers and established experts. The conference is open to international speakers and participants, so both German and English are permitted as lecture languages. Slides and posters shall be prepared in English.
We very much look forward to welcoming you in Kassel in 2026 for an intensive exchange!

We look forward to your contributions from research institutions, universities, and industry. New work that is not yet completed, recently started or in the planning stage can also be presented.
The following topics will be addressed in particular at the conference:
Please prepare an English title and 1-page abstract (incl. figures, max. size 1 MB). The abstract should explicitly mention objectives, new results and conclusions or significance of the work.
The selection of the contributions will be based on the review of the abstracts by the scientific committee.
Please note:
1) Registration fee cannot be waived for authors.
2) Both German and English are permitted for oral presentations. Slides and posters should be prepared in English.

How to become a DECHEMA member?
The registration fee includes a conference ticket, an online book of abstracts (PDF), an online list of participants, coffee and lunch breaks, poster party with dinner buffet.

Registration is possible up to the beginning of the conference (subject to capacity in the lecture rooms). You will receive an email with a booking confirmation as well as hyperlinks to download your invoice and payment confirmation as PDF files.
Payment of participation fees is by credit card (Master-Card, Visa, Amex or Diners) or direct debit.
Cancellations will only be accepted in written form (i.e. by post or e-mail).
In case of no-show or cancellation of participation, the full participation fee must be paid. Details on cancellation deadlines and fees can be found in the conference terms and conditions.

Conference participants book individually at the special rate using the booking link by 5 January 2026 directly with the hotel.
After the deadline 5 January 2026, all unbooked rooms will automatically be released back into the hotel's general availability.
Cancellations of room reservations can be made for free before 26 January 2026.
