The upcoming "Advances in Chemical Biology" conference will feature latest research from all hot topics in chemical biology.
Lectures by young researchers and the posters exhibition will be at the heart of the conference. In addition to many inspiring invited lectures, the poster authors will have the opportunity to present their posters in a short lecture session.
Jutta Eichler (Erlangen), Maja Köhn (Bonn), Anna Hirsch (Saarbrücken), Pierre Stallforth (Jena), and Radka Snajdrova (Novartis, Basel) are the keynote speakers.
The next recipient of the Richard Willstätter Prize and Nina Hartrampf (Zurich), who won the Chemical Biology Lectureship 2024, will also give keynotes.
A tutorial workshop on 'Prodrugs' by Kurt Ritter will precede the lecture programme.

Richard Willstätter Prize for Chemical Biology
The Richard Willstätter Prize for Chemical Biology honours outstanding long-time achievements of an established scientist, whose interdisciplinary work decisively contributed to a deeper understanding of chemical-biological processes.
Outstanding contributions and personal commitment to the field, e.g. the design of curricula and courses, widely used text books and media, promotion of young scientists, service on advisory boards and committees in Germany, and editorial services for scientific journals, are further indicators. The prize can also be awarded for technical developments, i.e. devices, methods, and processes, essential to obtain fundamental knowledge.
The Richard Willstätter Prize for Chemical Biology was founded by the DECHEMA Society for Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology, the German Pharmaceutical Society (DPhG), the Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (GBM), and the German Chemical Society (GDCh) which equally contribute to the prize money.
It comprises a certificate, the invitation to a plenary lecture and a sum EUR 6,000.
The prize will be awarded during the conference. The jury consists of the board members of the Joint Working Group Chemical Biology of DECHEMA, DPhG, GBM and GDCh.
Please submit your nomination or application – including a CV, list of publications (highlighting the top5 papers), and a brief cover letter (English or German, max. 3000 letters) – by 20 November 2024 via dechema.de/en/rwp
