The IK-CAPE PPDX Format defines a neutral and manufacturer spanning file format for the exchange of thermophycial property data and model parameter.
PPDX is an acronym for Physical Property Data Exchange . The format should enable one to exchange thermophysical property data, model parameters and even calculation routes freely and unhampered between various software procducts in the field of Computer Aided Process Design (CAPE).
Software A creates a file in IK-CAPE PPDX format. The file is loaded from software B.
The IK-CAPE PPDX Format was developed 1997 on stimulus of the Industrial Consortium CAPE (IK-CAPE). Members of the IK-CAPE Consortium have been the companies Bayer, BASF, Degussa, Dow Chemical und Siemens Axiva.
The further development and maintenance of the format definition is made from DECHEMA e.V. in cooperation with the respective IK-CAPE boards.
The members of the IK-CAPE use the format internally in a variety of their inhouse applications. In addition the format is supported from the following companies resp. products
