Award Winners

Hanns Hofmann Prize 2025

Dr. Bjarne Kreitz, Assistant Professor, Georgia Institute of Technology, School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, USA, received the Hanns Hofmann Prize 2025 for his pioneering work on DFT-based
calculation of microkinetic reaction models of heterogeneously catalysed reactions, taking into account
correlated uncertainties in the DFT-calculated energetic parameters. The prize is endowed with 1000 €.

The title of his award lecture was "Progress towards predictive multiscale modeling in heterogeneous catalysis"
