The ultimate goal of metabolic and biochemical engineering is to create novel products and bioprocesses for commercialisation. Whereas scientific and technical aspects are typical matters of training programs in universities, the sensitive steps of launching a product, which includes transferring technology from labs to production sites, are rarely addressed.
The workshop deals with this scenario by treating a show case compound. Students will learn what the key questions are and how actions should be structured to make the novel product a success. Please note that places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
