New Bioprocesses, New Bioproducts is the topic for the next Himmelfahrtstagung, the most important meeting for bioprocess and biochemical engineers in Germany.
At the Himmelfahrtstagung 2021, we would like to take a look at the entire value chain of bioproduction, from innovative strain development methods to new prokaryotic and eukaryotic production strains, smart reactor concepts, and innovative downstream processing. We will discuss bioproduction processes for biopharmaceuticals and industrial biotech products.
We are very sorry not to meet you in Mainz as originally planned, but very much look forward to welcoming you to an interactive virtual event.

Registration is possible up to the beginning of the conference. You will receive the links to download your registration confirmation, invoice and payment confirmation as PDF files.
Editorial deadline for the list of participants is 5 May 2021.
The registration fees include conference ticket (Link to online conference) and an abstract-book for download.
Cancellations are only accepted in writing (i.e. by fax, surface mail or e-mail).
Please find details about cancellation dates and fees in the general terms and conditions. In case of no-show the conference fees won't be refunded and fees not yet paid still have to be paid.
Chill'n Grill with Beer Tasting!
Traditionally, participants of the Himmelfahrtstagung meet on the second evening of the conference. At the virtual conference we would like to continue this tradition and offer you the opportunity to exchange experiences and to get to know each other. We would like to take you along on an early summer event. We will become virtually part of the large Himmelfahrtstagungs-community.
The evening will be accompanied by a beer sommelier who will present you 5 different beers during the event. You have the opportunity to receive these beers in advance to participate in the joint tasting.
The package including a beer glass costs 25 euros, the order is possible until May, 2, 2021.
The Zoom-Meeting starts at 5:30 p.m. and takes about 2 hours.

The official language of the conference is English. Simultaneous translation will be not available.
A brief CV questionary enables your chair person to introduce you to the audience. Therefore all lecturers are asked to download the CV form and to return it to by 19 April 2021.
In order to participate at the web conference you will need a stable internet connection. The following tools will be used for the conference: Converia Virtual Venue, Zoom (no license needed). We will send you the log-in data for the Virtual Venue a few days before the conference starts.
We will send you all necessary technical information prior the conference. Additionally, we would be happy to check all technical details with you in a Speaker's Briefing on 06 May 2021. The exact time and log-in data for the briefing will follow. Please keep the morning free for this.

Strict timekeeping will be essential for the smooth running of the conference.
As each session (except keynote lectures) ends with a joint discussion, we kindly ask you to stay in the Zoom conference until the end of the joint discussion.
All Posters will be exhibited as ePosters during the entire duration of the conference "Himmelfahrtstagung". Additionally, there will be two special poster sessions (11 May, 13.05h and 12 May, 12.40h) during which the authors will have the opportunity to present their poster in elevator pitches.
All confirmed ePosters must be uploaded online in the period 13-28 April. Please note that we cannot accept any ePosters after this deadline.

Log in with your log-in data. Under the "Submission" button, you will see the "View Submitted Submissions/Sessions" item. Please click to see all contributions you have submitted. Via the button "Actions" you can now "Upload or change presentations".
For the elevator pitch we kindly ask you to record your presentation (max. 1 minute) and send it to us as an mp4 file by April 28, 2021 at the latest. You can either send it via mail or via download link (send space etc).
Please make sure to name your file as following: Poster_Number_Last Name
For your elevator pitch we recommend you to prepare a ppt (1-2 slides) and record your pitch with a video conferencing tool (example: Zoom). However, you are present your poster differently – just make sure that the maximum time for each pitch is 1 minute.
